Privacy Policy

BrightGrowth Pty Ltd (ABN 72 885 498 332) ("BrightGrowth", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through brightgrowth.com.au, why we collect it, and how we handle it, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

When you contact us. If you use the contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, work email address, company and your message. If you email or call us directly, we collect whatever you include in that communication.

When you visit the site. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine or LinkedIn), your approximate location (city or region), and your device, browser and operating system. We use this in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to identify individual visitors.

Spam protection. The contact form uses spam filtering, a hidden honeypot field and submission timing checks to block automated submissions. These checks don't collect anything extra about you beyond what's needed to tell a person from a bot.

We don't collect sensitive information (such as health, political or religious information) and ask that you don't include it in your message.

We use your contact details and message to respond to your enquiry, to discuss whether and how we might work together, and to keep a record of that conversation.

We use analytics information to understand which content is useful, fix problems and improve the site.

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to. We don't sell or rent personal information.

Google Analytics uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — to distinguish visits and sessions. These cookies (named `_ga` and `_ga_[ID]`) can last up to two years unless you delete them.

Google Analytics does not log or store your full IP address. Google processes analytics data on our behalf, and that data may be stored and processed on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. You can control analytics cookies by:

• blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings, or
• installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site will continue to work normally if you do either.

We only share personal information with service providers that help us run the site and the business, and only for that purpose:

• Google (website analytics)
• Formspree (delivers contact form submissions to our inbox)
• Hostinger (hosts the website)
• Hostinger (provides our business email)

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they handle information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using reputable providers, secure (HTTPS) connections and access-controlled accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low.

We keep enquiry information for as long as it's needed to respond to you and manage any working relationship that follows, and then delete or de-identify it when it's no longer needed. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at privacy@brightgrowth.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
