Make the value of complex technology clear. Clear value drives growth.

BrightGrowth brings hands-on fractional marketing leadership and product-marketing expertise to B2B technology and AI companies that need sharper positioning, stronger execution and measurable commercial momentum.

The proposition

Your buyers don’t need more noise. They need a clear reason to care.

01

You need senior marketing leadership and execution now.

02

Your product value is difficult to explain — especially to technical or enterprise buyers.

03

Marketing activity lacks focus or momentum.

04

APAC matters, but local marketing capability is missing.

Core services

Same senior operator. Same high standard. Strategy through execution.

Meet Nick

Experience without the overhead.

I’ve worked inside the moments that change a business.

Senior marketing leadership. Technical enough to understand it. Hands-on enough to deliver it.

I started as a software developer, then moved into solution architecture and consulting — which is why the technical story has never been an afterthought, and why I have little patience for marketing that performs rather than generates revenue and growth. Whatever the role, it starts the same way: genuinely understanding the customer.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across global technology businesses — including over a decade in Silicon Valley — with 15+ years in tech marketing leadership globally and across APAC, from early-stage growth through hypergrowth and complex enterprise B2B. That path has included senior product-marketing leadership at HP and VMware, running a cloud services business unit as GM at CollabNet, and most recently building and leading a large global product marketing team and then APAC developer marketing and developer relations at MongoDB through a period of sustained hypergrowth.

Across those roles I’ve built teams, reshaped functions and led marketing through periods of significant change. That brings pattern recognition and pace. I’m as at home in a boardroom as in an engineering stand-up, and I stay close enough to the work to make sure the strategy survives contact with reality.

Scaling through hypergrowth

Technical and enterprise audiences

Marketing to people who can smell the hype.

This comes from a career built around developers — starting as a software developer, moving through product marketing on developer and security platforms, and leading into developer relations.

Developers, software engineers and security professionals expect technical accuracy, credible evidence and respect for how they evaluate products. Enterprise buyers need that technical value connected to risk, organisational priorities and commercial outcomes. BrightGrowth helps technology companies communicate convincingly across both sides of the buying group — without oversimplifying the product or burying the business case.

Technical buyers don’t need the product simplified. They need its value made clear.
// What technical buyers value
const trust = {
  specificity: high,
  evidence: required,
  hype: rejected
};

Show the mechanism

Explain how it works and what that means for the problem it solves. Specificity is a trust signal; vague benefit claims are not.

Provide verifiable proof

Demonstrations, documentation and customer evidence, not adjectives.

Respect the buying group

Engineers, security leads and executives each need a different, credible argument.

Be discoverable

Search, communities and AI-assisted research increasingly shape which products enter the consideration set.

Technology focus

Deep in the markets shaping how software gets built, secured and scaled.

BrightGrowth brings product-marketing depth to complex technology categories where technical credibility and commercial clarity matter.

APAC expertise

Global ambition. Locally focused marketing.

BrightGrowth supports APAC entry and early growth through marketing expertise, local understanding and hands-on go-to-market execution.

From positioning to pipeline: locally credible regional programs, lead-source development, community building and sales alignment.

For companies seeing early APAC interest or opportunity, but without senior regional marketing capability.
  1. 01Find the wedge

Identify the specific local problem, competitive gap and first credible use case to enter on.

  2. 02Localise the proposition

Adapt messaging, proof points and channel strategy so the offer feels built for the region.

  3. 03Create demand

Build lead sources, programs and community presence that feel local, not exported.

Align marketing with the sales motion, pipeline targets and clear proof of ROI.

BrightGrowth provides APAC growth marketing. It does not provide legal, tax, regulatory, recruitment, corporate-establishment or operational market-entry services.

Ways to work

The right shape for the problem.

Senior help without a permanent hire. Flexible enough to meet the moment, structured enough to create momentum.
01

Focused engagement

A scoped engagement built around one important marketing challenge — positioning and messaging, a product or go-to-market launch, a developer marketing program, buying-group strategy, or APAC growth marketing when regional growth is the specific need. Ends with tangible work and a clear path to execution, not only recommendations. Can start with a short diagnostic to set priorities before the main work is scoped.

Scoped project · 3 months minimum
02

Fractional marketing leadership

Ongoing senior leadership with hands-on delivery — setting strategy and pipeline targets, doing the product, developer and campaign marketing directly, aligning global and regional stakeholders, directing agencies and partners, and reporting on what’s working. Includes specialist APAC growth marketing where relevant.

Ongoing · 2–4 days a week · 3 months minimum
Also available

Interim leadership

Full ownership of the marketing leadership role during a defined transition — when a marketing leader has left, or the function needs someone in the seat while you search for or onboard a permanent hire. Defined by the mandate, not just the hours: this is the seat, not a heavier version of fractional support.

Full-time-equivalent capacity · 3–9 months · defined transition
